We will deepen this journey with a Shamanic dose of Ashaninka Cacao, a beautiful sound bath from Nessi Gomes, and end the day enjoying our shared nourishing food around the table to celebrate this final season and the ending of 2021.

What is a Voice Bath?
A Voice Bath is a submersion in vocal sound, overtones and the use of therapeutic instruments. This method has been specifically designed by BAST (The British Academy of Sound Therapy) with a combination of ancient knowledge of sound as well as modern day research on the effect of sound on the body and brain.
Voice Baths are a great opportunity to relax and unwind after a long hard day, especially for those that need a moment to recharge and nourish their emotional, physical and spiritual bodies. The application of intention and sound through Ness’s voice and the other instruments that she uses initiates a conversation with the body and this helps to balance the mind, body and spirit. It is a perfect alternative for those who struggle with a simple meditation structure.
Let the Voice Bath support you into a more quiet space as it massages and bathes you in sound, realigning any elements in your system that might feel somewhat out of tune. Voice Baths can stimulate the body’s natural healing mechanisms.
It can boost the immune system, can be used for pain control, relaxation, improved sleep, stress reduction, and for general well being.
This is a passive session lasting for approximately 45 minutes. The use of toning, over-toning and a variety of therapeutic percussive instruments at the end, will be used in order to help work through any stuck energy in the body and gently bring you back to the room at the end of the session.
Fundamentally anyone and everyone can benefit from using sound in a therapeutic way. However, there are certain conditions and circumstances that makes certain forms of sound work inappropriate as detailed below.
* A voice bath is not recommended for pregnant women under 12 weeks, due to the delicate nature of any pregnancy during this first trimester.
* Conditions such as Menieres and Epilepsy, which are sound sensitive, may be triggered by sound; metal implants, pins and screws may be affected by the vibrations; and the rhythm of a pacemaker may also be affected.
* An altered state of consciousness requires a certain amount of mental stability in order to ensure safe practice. Anyone with a serious mental health condition that is experiencing unmanaged symptoms i.e. suicidal, psychosis or diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia are not recommended to partake in the Voice Bath sessions.
Nessi Gomes who is a certified holistic voice practitioner in voice therapy, will be taking participants on a deeply therapeutic sonic journey.
All that is required of you is that you rest on the floor and let the therapeutic sound do the rest.
